BNL’s Schofield named to First Team in HHC

BNL’s Jaden Schofield was named First Team in the HHC by the league coaches.

BEDFORD – Bedford North Lawrence junior Jaden Schofield was named to the All-Hoosier Hills Conference First Team by the league coaches.

Schofield paced the Stars (8-20) with a .384 batting average. She also matched the school single-season record with 24 stolen bases, a total that lead the conference. She also was the team leader in runs scored, RBIs, and made multiple sparkling plays in left field.

Other members of the First Team included Floyd Central’s Addy Ware, Elise Coleman, Emmy Miller, Kaeden Stewart and Adeline Shultz; Seymour’s Taylor Stuckwisch and Makenzie Bryson; Jennings County’s Riley Byford, Arian Day and Maycie Ward; Columbus East’s Baleigh Fish and Lola Watkins; New Albany’s Candace Meyer; and Jeffersonville’s Aubrey Cannon.

Floyd Central won the conference title, and Sean Payne was Coach of the Year.

BNL senior Sara Williams was named Honorable Mention. She hit .330 and shared the team RBI lead with 15. She also hit a team-best two home runs.
