SPENCER COUNTY – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a road closure for State Road 66 in Spencer County.
Beginning on or around Monday, June 8, crews will close State Road 66 in Rockport. This closure is part of the current road paving work in the area and will occur between Lincoln Avenue and Fifth Street.
This road closure will allow for water main relocation. This closure is expected to take a week to complete, depending on the weather.
The official detour for this closure is State Road 66 to U.S. 231 to State Road 162 to State Road 62 to State Road 161. Local traffic will have access up to the point of closure. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones.
