BLOOMINGTON – Bedford North Lawrence played its final tune-up round for the postseason and posted wins over Edgewood and Brown County during boys high school golf action at Cascades on Monday.
The Stars, playing without usual scoring leader Evan Tillett (out with an ankle injury), carded a team total of 306 to top the Mustangs (310) and Eagles (314).
Parker Foddrill and Traeden Robinson paced BNL with 3-over 75s on the course that will host the IHSAA sectional next week.
”We played a really steady round,” BNL coach Trey Turner said. “It was good to see these guys really battle to make pars and keep the big numbers off the card.
”This builds some confidence going into Monday, that shows us what we can do on that golf course.”
Hudson Martin (77) and Brody Simmons (79) capped the consistent team scoring for the Stars.
Brown County’s Max Sommers was the medalist with a 1-over 73.
BNL will compete in the sectional on June 8. The top three teams, plus the top three individuals who are not members of qualifying teams, will advance to the regional at Country Oaks on June 11.
