ORLEANS — A statewide Silver Alert has been canceled after a missing 65-year-old Orange County man was located safely following a multi-agency search.

The Orleans Police Department announced that Thomas Hackney has been found. According to local officials, Hackney is currently receiving medical treatment at a regional healthcare facility and is expected to make a full recovery.
The emergency began when the Indiana State Police issued an official Silver Alert at the request of local authorities. Investigators stated that Hackney was believed to be in extreme danger and in immediate need of medical assistance.
Hackney had last been seen on Thursday at approximately 12:00 p.m. in the Orleans area.
The Orleans Police Department expressed gratitude to the community and neighboring law enforcement agencies for their quick assistance in sharing Hackney’s description.
