Samuel E. Mundy, 79, of Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at his residence.
Born October 14, 1946, he was the son of Elmer and Helen (Vanhoy) Mundy. He married Shari Mundy on July 1, 1989, and she survives. Samuel worked in machine repair at General Motors. He attended Harvest Full Gospel in Mitchell and Cornerstone Church in Camelsburg.
Survivors include his wife, Shari Mundy; a daughter, Darla Christenberry (Mundy), and husband John; grandson Darren Boatman and his wife Bianca, of Illinois; great-grandchildren, Dylan Nunn, Drayson Nunn of Bedford, Landon, Kendrick, Lorelai, and Elaina Boatman, all of Illinois; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, Destiny Mundy, and a brother, Doug Mundy.
Pallbearers include: John Christenberry, Drayson Nunn, Dylan Nunn, Bill Folmer, James Willis, Jim McPherson, Darren Boatman, and Wesley Hallet.
Funeral services will be conducted at Noon on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Harvest Full Gospel Church in Mitchell. Burial will follow in Clark Cemetery in Huron. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at Harvest Full Gospel Church.
