BLOOMINGTON – Bedford North Lawrence finished tied for second in the Bloomington North Invitational during boys high school golf action at Cascades on Saturday.

The Stars posted 318 in the 15-team field. Bloomington North won the team title on its home course with 314.

Evan Tillett paced BNL with a 1-over 73. He lost a medalist playoff to Carmel’s Blake Huffman when Huffman birdied the first hole.

”Evan continues to put himself in contention,” BNL coach Trey Turner said. “He is going to finish one off here very soon.”

Hudson Martin carded a solid 79, while Brody Simmons and Brayden Ohl capped the BNL scoring with 83s.

”We played a very consistent round,” Turner said. “We did a good job of keeping the ball in play and putting ourselves in good spots to make pars. There are still some things to clean up, but I feel good about where we are right now.”

BNL will visit Seymour on Tuesday.
