BEDFORD — In observance of Memorial Day, Mayor Sam Craig’s office has announced that all Bedford City Offices will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026.

The closure will impact several city services, including public transportation and sanitation schedules. Residents are encouraged to take note of the following adjustments to ensure their service remains uninterrupted:
To accommodate the holiday, the City of Bedford Sanitation Department has shifted its collection dates:
All trash collection routes normally picked up on Monday will instead be collected on Saturday, May 23.
Recycle and Compost routes normally scheduled for Monday will be picked up on Tuesday, May 26.
The Transit Authority of Stone City (TASC) buses will not be running on Monday, May 25. Normal transit operations will resume on Tuesday.
All administrative offices will be closed on Monday and will reopen for regular business hours on Tuesday, May 26.
City officials ask that residents have their carts curbside by the normal designated time on the adjusted pickup days to ensure collection.
