Jerry Dean Hearth Jr., 59, of Bedford, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the University of Louisville Hospital.
Born June 22, 1966, in Bloomington, he was the son of Jerry Dean Hearth, Sr., and Doretta Gregory. Jerry was a plumber and roofer at Steve’s Roofing and G.S. Courtyard. He was a member of the Eagles in Bloomington and the Indian Creek Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his fiancé, Kara Helms-Cazee of Bedford, and her daughter, Tawni Grubb of Greenwood; his mother, Doretta Gregory, of Kirksville; his sister, Carmen Jones; stepchildren, Amber (Brad) Borders of Spencer, Amanda Dishman, Ami Lane, and Daniel Lane, all of Bloomington; and two grandchildren, Abby Prince and Athena Poling.
He was preceded in death by his father, a sister, Brenda, a stepdaughter, Amanda Roper, and a grandson, Gavin Harper.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 8th, in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Hayes Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 7th, at Day & Carter Mortuary.
