Ivy Tech Columbus to honor 2026 Graduates with dual commencement ceremonies

COLUMBUS — Ivy Tech Community College is set to celebrate the academic achievements of its 2026 graduating class this Tuesday. The ceremonies will honor students from the Columbus, Franklin, and Shelbyville campuses, marking a significant milestone for hundreds of local graduates entering the workforce or continuing their education.

The commencement events will take place at the Judson S. Erne Auditorium, located at Columbus North High School (1400 25th St.), with two distinct sessions organized by academic school.

To accommodate the large number of graduates and their families, the college has split the commencement into two time slots:

  • 5:00 p.m. Ceremony: This session will recognize graduates from the Schools of:
    • Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering & Applied Science
    • Arts, Sciences & Education
    • Business, Logistics & Supply Chain
    • Entrepreneurship & Innovation
    • Information Technology
    • Public Affairs & Social Services
  • 7:30 p.m. Ceremony: This session is dedicated exclusively to the graduates of the Schools of:
    • Health Sciences
    • Nursing

Due to high demand, tickets are required for in-person attendance at the Judson S. Erne Auditorium. However, Ivy Tech has provided multiple ways for the community to participate in the celebration:

The 2026 graduation marks another year of Ivy Tech providing a vital pipeline of skilled professionals to the South Central Indiana region. From high-tech manufacturing and IT to the frontline healthcare heroes graduating in the evening session, these alumni represent the future of the local economy.

Graduates are encouraged to arrive early for check-in, and attendees are reminded to have their tickets ready for entry. For more information regarding parking or specific commencement instructions, students can visit the Ivy Tech Columbus website or contact the Registrar’s office.
