Helen L. Good, 86, of Bedford, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at White River Lodge in Bedford.
She was born April 28, 1939, in Lawrence County to William M. and Josie H. Melvin Sullivan. She married Robert G. Good. He preceded her in death in 2008.
Helen attended Bedford High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Salvation Army Church, where she played in the band. Helen loved quilting, gardening, was a fantastic Irish storyteller, and loved hosting family get-togethers.
Surviving to cherish Helen’s memory are her three daughters, Cheryl (Joe) Kimmel, Susan (James) Grimes, and Misty (Kelly) Bocock; two sons, Jerry (Lisa) Priddy and Robert E. (Margo) Good; ten grandchildren, Rhett, Robin, Zach, Nikki, Katie, Drew, Jace, Charlie, Helen and Thelma; several great-grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding Helen in death were her parents, William and Josie Sullivan; husband, Robert Good; five brothers, Orville Smith, John, Joe, Billy Dean, and Tom Sullivan; and seven sisters, Carol Manuel, Shirley Courter, Mary DeArmond, Ruth Ann Cain, Lois Ritter, Rhea Dawn Hayes, and Marilyn Sullivan.
A Graveside Service for Helen will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Crawford Cemetery in Bedford.
