Judy Gail Wheat, 68, passed away on April 19, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at her home.
She was born on October 28, 1957, in Paoli, Indiana, to the late William Noah Wheat and Mary Susie Wheat. She was married for over 30 years to Jimmie Underhill.
Judy enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, fishing, camping, and singing karaoke at Jody’s Bar in French Lick. She also enjoyed listening to Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn. Most of all, she loved her kids and grandkids.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband, Jimmie Underhill; her children, Sarah Busick, Jennifer Porter, Venus Schrader, Miranda Lambert, Marcus Lambert, Tony Lambert, and Jeffery Nettles; grandchildren, Ammaly Busick, Korrin Emmons, Nixon Lambert, Justice Adams, Adrienne Porter, Cameron Radcliff, Brady Rice, Bryant Lambert, Skylan Emmons, Damien Emmons, and Angela Anders; nine great- grandchildren; brothers, Bub (Judy) Wheat and Theron Wheat; sister, Markeeta (Melvin) Albright; and several nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Billy Wheat, and sisters, Teresa Wheat, Betty Ann Sorrels, Jeanie Litherland, and Becky Wheat.
Services for Judy Gail Wheat will be held on Friday, April 24th, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne Family Funeral Homes, 818 18th Street, Bedford, Indiana, 47421. Burial will follow at the Mitchell City Cemetery. Visitation will also be held on Friday at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.
