NLCS launches monthly food service newsletter to keep parents informed

BEDFORD — The North Lawrence Community Schools (NLCS) Food Service Department is introducing a new way for families to stay connected with school nutrition and cafeteria updates.

Bonnie Sanders, Director of NLCS Food Services, announced this week that the department will begin distributing a monthly newsletter designed to keep parents and guardians informed about menu changes, special events, and departmental news across all district schools.

To receive the newsletter, parents must be registered for the district’s official notification system. If you are not currently receiving digital communications from the school, you can sign up for a new account by visiting: NLCS ParentLink Sign-Up

The newsletter aims to provide transparency and timely information regarding the district’s nutrition programs. In recent years, school food services nationwide have navigated shifting supply chains and updated federal nutrition guidelines. This direct line of communication will help families plan for their students’ needs and stay updated on local “happenings” within the school kitchens.

For questions regarding the newsletter, dietary requirements, or help with the sign-up process, parents are encouraged to contact the Food Service Department directly by contacting Bonnie Sanders, Director of NLCS Food Services, by emailing Sandersb@nlcs.k12.in.us or calling 812-277-3220 (ext. 48104).

The department looks forward to sharing more about the meals and services provided to NLCS students throughout the school year.
