BLOOMINGTON – The City of Bloomington invites residents to apply for a position on the Capital Improvement Board, or the CIB.
The tasked with the development and management of the Monroe County Convention Center and its expansion. Its duties include selecting and contracting with organizations for operations, facilitating hotel partnerships, hiring support staff, and assessing the need for extra amenities to enhance the visitor experience. Through their work, the CIB aims to create a vibrant hub for events and growth in our community.
The CIB meets every second Wednesday of each month at 3 p.m. at the Monroe County Convention Center Hall, 302 S. College Ave. For more information, please see the Bloomington Municipal Code 2.19.040. All board and commission meetings are open to the public, allowing prospective members to gain a clear understanding of the work involved.
