Prenatal Well to host Third Annual Women’s Wellness Fair April 25

MERRILLVILLE — Three years ago, Dr. Maya Dominique launched a critical initiative designed to place greater emphasis on women’s health. Her vision was to create a health fair offering resources to women, no matter where they are on their health journey. That vision continues to grow.

Through her nonprofit organization, Prenatal Well, Dominique has expanded her signature event, the Women’s Wellness Fair, taking place Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Dean and Barbara White Community Center, 6600 Broadway in Merrillville. The event is free and open to the public.

Prenatal Well is committed to reducing maternal and infant morbidity and mortality through a holistic, patient-centered approach. The Women’s Wellness Fair provides information on these topics and more while connecting families to essential resources.

“Through this event, women and families are able to get the information they need to better care for themselves,” said Dr. Dominique. “Health care professionals and community partners will be on-site to meet women where they are—emotionally, culturally, and physically—helping them feel seen, heard, and supported. This fair is about building trust and empowering women to thrive.”

Attendees can take advantage of free health screenings, interactive vendors, children’s entertainment, medical equipment demonstrations, giveaways, raffles, free haircuts, guest speakers, and more, all in a family-friendly environment.

This event is made possible in part by the support of committed community partners, including NorthShore Health Centers, Youngblood Youth Development Homes and Services, and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
