BEDFORD — A new event venue in Bedford is inviting families to celebrate the Easter season with a free, kid-friendly gathering this weekend.

Miller’s Banquet Hall will host “Meet the Bunny and Play” on Saturday, April 4, from 3 to 5 p.m. at its facility located at 2826 Washington Avenue. The event will feature a special appearance by the Easter Bunny, along with activities designed for children of all ages.

Families attending the event will have opportunities for photos with the Easter Bunny at a themed backdrop, access to an indoor play area, and a separate padded space designed specifically for babies. An Easter-themed movie will also be shown, and free popcorn will be provided. Refreshments will be available for purchase, and door prizes will be awarded throughout the event. Admission is free.

The event highlights the offerings of Miller’s Banquet Hall, a new business in Bedford that provides a flexible venue for a wide range of gatherings. The facility includes seating and service capacity for up to 120 people, multiple televisions, and approximately 1,800 square feet of event space in addition to dedicated play areas for children, babies, and teens. Amenities include industrial refrigerators, serving stations for hot and cold food, a kegerator, and a teen center equipped with charging stations, gaming systems, and lounge space.

Owner Michell Miller said the goal is to provide a versatile, all-in-one location for hosting events.
“I provide the facility and everything in it,” Miller said. “It’s kind of like a blank canvas. People can come in and decorate it however they want and use any decorations and things I have provided, or whatever they want to bring if they want to add any extra color or anything like that.”

Miller, a former teacher of 15 years, said her background in education helped shape the venue’s family-focused design, particularly the inclusion of safe and engaging spaces for children.

In addition to private rentals for events such as birthday parties, graduations, wedding receptions, and watch parties, the venue plans to introduce regular community programming beginning in May. Open play for young children will be offered on Mondays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for $5 per child. On Tuesdays, the facility will host “Yoga and Play” from 6 to 7 p.m., allowing parents to participate in instructor-led yoga classes while children are supervised in the play areas for a $10 fee.
Starting on May 1st, the hall will be open for rental. Pricing is $200 for four hours or $400 for the entire day. To book a reservation or find information about the venue and upcoming events, check out Miller’s Banquet Hall website or their Facebook page.
