INDIANA — Whether you’re looking to find a new “honey hole” or want to understand the science behind Indiana’s fish populations, the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is offering a front-row seat to the state’s aquatic research.
From April 21 to 23, DNR fisheries biologists will host a series of three interactive virtual webinars. Each session will focus on a specific region of the state, providing anglers with localized tips and a behind-the-scenes look at the survey work that keeps Indiana’s waters healthy.

Each one-hour webinar will feature a presentation by professional biologists followed by a live Q&A session. Using the webinar’s chat function, attendees can ask specific questions about local stocking efforts, habitat projects, and the best techniques for different bodies of water.
Topics will include:
- Survey Results: Insights from recent fish community surveys, like the healthy Muskie and Crappie numbers recently observed at Bass Lake and Dogwood Lake.
- Regional Hotspots: Recommendations on where to fish this season, from the glacial lakes of the north to the large reservoirs of the south.
- Management Updates: Information on the $1.4 million in LARE grants recently announced for lake and stream enhancements across the state.
