Reminder: Still time to sign up for Fayetteville Lions Club youth baseball and softball

FAYETTEVILLE — The Fayetteville Community Lions Club is inviting families to register their children for the upcoming youth baseball and softball season, with sign-ups scheduled across multiple weekends.

Two registration dates are still open for sign-ups from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, and March 28. All sign-ups will be held at Fayetteville Lions Club Park, located about 3.5 miles west of Bedford.

The league offers several age-based divisions for children. T-ball is available for ages 4 to 5, while coach-pitch baseball and girls softball divisions are open to ages 6 to 8. Kid-pitch baseball and softball divisions are offered for ages 9 to 10, with additional baseball and softball opportunities for ages 11 to 12. Participation in the girls’ 11-12 softball division will depend on sufficient interest.

The cost to participate is $35 per child, and organizers note that payment must accompany registration forms.

Forms can be found on Facebook by searching “Fayetteville IN Lions Club,” and may also be mailed to 6825 State Road 158, Bedford, 47421. Checks should be made payable to FCLC.

For more information, interested families can contact Brad Canada at 812-276-3011.

Organizers say the annual program provides local youth with an opportunity to learn teamwork, build skills, and enjoy the spring baseball and softball season in a community-focused environment.
