ZZ Top tribute coming to Mitchell Opera House

MITCHELL — Get ready for “fuzzy guitars” and classic blues-rock as Thunderbeard: A Tribute to ZZ Top takes the stage at the historic Mitchell Opera House on Saturday, March 21, at 7:00 p.m.

Promising a level of showmanship that rivals the original Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, Thunderbeard aims to provide an authentic recreation of the ZZ Top live experience. The band’s performance spans the legendary group’s 50-plus-year history, ensuring fans of every era have something to sing along to.

The concert will feature a diverse setlist covering the band’s most iconic periods, the 1970s Blues Era featuring raw, blues-centric hits like Brown Sugar, La Grange, and Waitin’ for the Bus. The 1980s Synth-Rock Era, highlighting the streamlined, MTV-era classics such as Gimme All Your Lovin’, Sharp Dressed Man, and Legs.

Thunderbeard arrives in Mitchell amidst a busy touring schedule that includes performances across 13 states and Canada, bringing their high-energy celebration of Texas rock to Lawrence County.

Tickets are available now for fans of all ages. Tickets for adults are $35, children (12 and under) are $18

The Mitchell Opera House is a handicap-accessible venue. To ensure a smooth experience for all attendees, please note the doors open at 6:15 p.m. All seating is first-come, first-served. Food and drinks are not permitted inside the auditorium.
