Back-to-Back Billy Joel and Elton John tribute set for March 7 at Mitchell Opera House

MITCHELL — A two-part tribute to music legends Billy Joel and Elton John is coming to the Mitchell Opera House on Saturday, March 7, at 7 p.m.

“Back-to-Back – A Tribute to Billy Joel and Elton John” will feature a live performance celebrating the iconic catalogs of the two acclaimed artists, whose music has resonated with generations of fans worldwide.

The show, titled “Still Rock n’ Roll” and “Madmen Across the Water,” will highlight many of the duo’s most recognizable hits in a single evening performance. Joe D’Amato, known as “Elton Joe,” will open the night portraying Billy Joel before transforming into Elton John following a brief intermission and costume change.

D’Amato is backed by Brad Canaday on drums, Butch Ellis on bass, and Larry Bourne on guitar and keys. Together, the group delivers a high-energy, two-part rock performance honoring both artists’ enduring legacies.

Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under. E-tickets are available at mitchelloperahouse.com and through the Humanitix event page. Tickets may also be purchased with cash or check at ACE Hardware in Mitchell or at the ticket booth the night of the show. Cash, check, and card will be accepted at the door.

Doors open at 6:15 p.m. The Mitchell Opera House is handicap accessible. Food and drinks are not permitted in the auditorium. Seating is first-come, first-served.
