Purdue Extension Orange County will host Chef University, a two-day spring break cooking and nutrition program for youth in grades 3–5 on March 16 and 17 at the 4-H Fairgrounds Block Building.

The program will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day and will provide hands-on lessons in healthy cooking, kitchen skills, food science, and nutrition. Participants will prepare recipes, learn new cooking techniques, and explore international foods, with youth encouraged to attend both days.
Chef University is supported by the Orange County Community Foundation Inc. and the Smithville Charitable Foundation.
The cost is $15 for current, approved 4-H youth and $30 for new 4-H youth. Registration and payment are due by March 6, and spots are limited; a minimum of 10 participants is required.
Adult volunteers and junior leaders are also needed for the program and must be enrolled or re-enrolled by March 6.
