WEST LAFAYETTE — Women looking to trade their screens for the great outdoors can soon claim their spot at the annual Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) workshop. Registration for the popular program officially opens March 1 at 7 a.m. ET.

Designed specifically for women ages 18 and older, the workshop provides a unique opportunity to master outdoor skills in a relaxed, supportive, and low-pressure environment. Whether a participant is a complete novice or looking to sharpen existing skills, BOW offers a gateway to nature that emphasizes confidence over competition.
The 2026 workshop will take place from May 1–3 at the scenic Ross Camp in West Lafayette.
Participants can tailor their weekend experience by selecting four activities from a diverse roster of more than two dozen offerings. The curriculum is designed to cover a broad spectrum of outdoor interests, including:
- Traditional Sports: Archery, fishing, and shooting muzzleloader firearms.
- Navigation & Tech: Geocaching and wildlife tracking.
- Wilderness Survival: Outdoor cooking and basic woodcraft.
