STATEHOUSE – State Rep. Chris May (R-Bedford) recently met with members of the Lawrence County 4-H at the Statehouse in Indianapolis.

May said the local students visited during 4-H Day at the Statehouse. This gave them an opportunity to watch the legislative session and meet with state leaders.
“It was my pleasure to welcome Lawrence County 4-H members to the State Capitol and give them a peek at the legislative process,” May said. “These students have bright futures whether that be in agriculture or a different career, and getting them involved and interested in government is how we inspire the next generation of leaders.”
According to their website, 4-H provides kids with community, mentors, and learning opportunities to develop the skills they need to create positive change in their lives and in their communities. The Purdue Extension-Lawrence County 4-H Program is open to all youth in grades 3-12/ Mini 4-H is offered to grades K-2 with programming tailored to the interests of youths in the community.
