BEDFORD – Bedford North Lawrence’s Trinidy Bailey, Sammie Nusbaum and Miley Sherrill have been named to the First Team in the Hoosier Hills Conference by the league coaches.
Bailey was the senior catalyst for the Stars, averaging 11.4 points, 4.3 assists and 2.7 steals. Nusbuam was the team leader in scoring (11.5) and rebounding (5.0) as a junior, while Sherrill totaled 11.3 points and 4.9 boards as a junior during her third year in the starting lineup.
BNL finished with a 16-8 record.
The rest of the First Team included Jennings County’s Mollie Ernstes (a Kansas recruit who averaged 24.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists) and Etta Young (14.6 points, 8.4 rebounds), Floyd Central’s Elise Coleman and Brinley Clark, New Albany’s Gracie Matheny, plus Jeffersonville’s Makenna Taylor (12.7) and Kelis Dansby (12.8).
Floyd Central and Jennings County shared the league title with 5-1 records.
BNL’s Jordan Blann was named Honorable Mention.
