Phi Beta Psi to host inaugural Dogwood Bingo fundraiser April 21 in Orleans

ORLEANS — Phi Beta Psi is introducing a new spring fundraiser this year, replacing its traditional style show with the inaugural Dogwood Bingo event set for Tuesday, April 21.

The event will be held at Orleans Elementary School. Doors open at 5 p.m., with the first game beginning at 6 p.m.

Organizers say the evening will feature 20 rounds of bingo, with designer and stylish purses awarded as prizes. In addition to bingo, attendees can participate in raffle baskets and a 50/50 drawing. Orange County Cancer Patient Services will be on-site, providing food during the event.

Guests are encouraged to embrace a Kentucky Derby theme by wearing festive hats. A Derby Hat Contest will award prizes in several categories, including most patriotic, most original, largest hat, and judges’ choice.

Ticket sales will begin Saturday, March 7, at 9 a.m. at Orleans Christian Church Unity Hall, 319 South Maple St., Orleans. Tickets are $25 each and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, with no early sales and a limit of 250 tickets available. Those wishing to reserve a table may do so by purchasing eight tickets together.

Organizers encourage attendees to gather friends, don their Derby flair, and enjoy an evening of bingo, laughter, and community fellowship while supporting a charitable cause.

The fundraiser will benefit Phi Beta Psi’s ongoing philanthropic efforts. Attendees must be 18 or older to purchase tickets. For questions, organizers direct individuals to contact Kelly Sage at 812-653-7257.
