BLOOMINGTON — The Monroe County Democratic Party is opening its doors to the public for a special “February Open House” as part of a new initiative to increase local civic engagement. The event is scheduled for Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the party’s headquarters located at 115 East 2nd Street in downtown Bloomington.
The open house is designed for residents who want to learn more about the local party, find volunteer opportunities, or simply meet the individuals behind the organization.
Attendees can chat with party officers and current volunteers in an informal setting.
The event will feature snacks and refreshments for all guests.
For those unable to attend this month, party leaders confirmed that these open houses will become a recurring monthly event, with a March date to be announced soon
Under the leadership of Chair Chrissie Geels, who was elected in July 2025, the party is prioritizing transparency and voter education ahead of these pivotal local races.
