Faith, Fellowship and ‘Trophies of Grace’ to take center stage at Hillcrest event Feb. 28

BEDFORD — Hillcrest Christian Church’s Men’s Ministry will host a “Trophies of Grace” event on Feb. 28, bringing together fellowship, worship, and a message of faith centered on the idea of believers as God’s trophies.

The event is scheduled from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hillcrest Family Life Center, Entry 4, at 1130 Hillcrest Road in Bedford. Doors will open at 3:30 p.m., allowing time for fellowship and for attendees to view deer trophies from different parts of the country that will be on display.

Pastor Mark Fugate

“We are going to look at these deer trophies from different parts of the country, and they represent us as God’s Trophies,” said Hillcrest Christian Church Head Pastor Mark Fugate.

Opening prayer and worship will take place from 4:30 to 5 p.m., followed by dinner from 5 to 6 p.m. The meal will include barbecue and sides and will cost $20 per person. A door prize card collection is planned from 6:30 to 6:40 p.m., with door prizes and closing to follow from 6:40 to 7 p.m. Participants must be present to win prizes.

The featured speaker for the event will be Carl Parks. Organizers say the gathering is intended to combine worship, fellowship, and reflection, using the trophy displays as a visual illustration of spiritual themes drawn from scripture.
