ALBION – The Noble County Sheriff’s Department has requested that the Indiana State Police investigate a death that occurred at the Noble County Jail over the weekend.
During the early morning hours of Saturday, February 7, 2026, Indiana State Police Investigations Bureau detectives were requested at the Noble County Jail to investigate the death of an inmate. The inmate was received into the jail, after which time they appeared to have a medical emergency.
The jail staff immediately attempted lifesaving measures, and Parkview EMS was called, but lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful.
At this time, no foul play is suspected.
The Noble County Coroner’s Office will be conducting an autopsy and confirming the identity of the deceased.
