BEDFORD – The Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County is encouraging community members to support youth athletics, emphasizing that access to sports helps children build friendships, connect with mentors, and develop skills that extend beyond the playing field.
The club said children who are unable to participate in sports miss out on opportunities for teamwork, guidance, and positive relationships. By expanding access to athletics, the organization aims to help more children move from the sidelines onto the field.
According to the club, participation in sports and supportive environments can open doors in other areas of life, helping young people graduate, develop leadership skills, and positively impact their communities.
