Applications open for 2026 Judy Bobe Scholarship for former Head Start students

INDIANA — Pace Community Action Agency has officially opened the application process for the 2026 Judy Bobe Scholarship, a program dedicated to supporting local students as they transition from high school to higher education.

The scholarship is specifically designed for graduating seniors in the Class of 2026 who have a personal history with Pace’s early childhood programs. To be eligible, applicants must have previously attended a Pace Head Start program within the agency’s four-county service area, which includes Knox, Daviess, Greene, and Sullivan Counties.

The scholarship is named in honor of Judy Bobe, whose long-standing dedication to early childhood education and community action left a lasting impact on the region. The award serves to bridge the gap between a student’s earliest educational experiences and their future professional goals.

How to Apply

Pace is encouraging all eligible seniors to apply before the spring deadline. The application process is handled entirely online to ensure accessibility for students across all four counties.

All applications must be submitted by April 2, 2026. Interested students can find the application and eligibility details at pacecaa.org/college-scholarships.

By providing this financial assistance, Pace Community Action Agency continues its mission of empowering families and individuals to become self-reliant through innovative programs and community partnerships.
