INDIANA — The iconic blue corduroy jacket will take center stage across the country next month as thousands of students, educators, and alumni prepare for National FFA Week, running from Feb. 21 to 28, 2026.

Established in 1948, the weeklong tradition was intentionally scheduled by the National FFA Board of Directors to encompass George Washington’s birthday on February 22, honoring his enduring legacy as a dedicated agriculturist and farmer. Today, the celebration serves as a high-profile platform to spotlight agricultural education and the leadership development of the next generation of rural innovators.
National FFA Week is structured around key themed days designed to engage the community and honor the program’s history:
- Tuesday, Feb. 24 | Alumni Day: Chapters will recognize the mentors and former members who built their programs through thank-you notes, community meals, and public shout-outs.
- Thursday, Feb. 26 | Give FFA Day: A 24-hour push for donations to support local chapter initiatives and member scholarships.
- Friday, Feb. 27 | Wear Blue Day: Supporters nationwide are encouraged to wear “FFA blue” and share photos on social media using the hashtag #FFAWeek.
Beyond the classroom, the week is a vital period for fundraising. Supporters can visit Tractor Supply Co. to purchase $1 paper emblems benefiting the Grants for Growing program. Chapters are also encouraging a “paper emblem selfie” campaign to boost digital visibility for the cause.
Across the nation, local chapters are getting creative with their outreach. The Neodesha FFA in Kansas—a powerhouse chapter established in 1936—has announced a full slate of activities, including a spirit week, a free-will donation community breakfast, and a highly anticipated alumni work auction.
For chapters still finalizing their schedules, National FFA has released a digital toolkit featuring activity logs, updated logos, and ready-to-post social media kits.
While the activities vary from school spirit days to community service, the core mission remains the same. National FFA Week is a reminder that the organization is more than an extracurricular activity; it is a critical pipeline for the next generation of producers, educators, and innovators who will lead the global agricultural industry.
