Purdue Extension to host women’s health program in Seymour as part of American Heart Month

SEYMOUR — February is American Heart Month, and Purdue Extension of Jackson County is inviting the public to a program focused on women’s heart health later this month.

The program, titled “Tips for Women’s Heart Health,” is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 17, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Jackson County Public Library’s Seymour Meeting Room, 303 W. Second St.

The session will be led by Molly Marshall, a health and human sciences extension educator with Purdue Extension, and will focus on practical tips and strategies for maintaining a heart-healthy lifestyle. Attendees will also have the opportunity to sample recipes and snacks during the program.

Registration is required and must be completed by Feb. 13. Participants can register online with this link or by calling the Purdue Extension office at 812-358-6101.

The program is part of Purdue Extension’s ongoing efforts to provide research-based education and resources to support community health and wellness.
