BEDFORD – North Lawrence Community Schools (NLCS) has officially released the schedule for its upcoming Kindergarten Welcome and Registration events. Parents and guardians of incoming students are invited to visit their respective schools in early March to begin the enrollment process for the 2026-2027 school year.
These events offer families the opportunity to meet school principals and kindergarten teachers, tour the facilities, and learn more about the curriculum and school environment.
Registration Schedule
Registration sessions will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the following locations and dates:

To ensure a smooth registration process, the district requests that parents bring the following required documentation:
- Official Birth Certificate
- Proof of Address (such as a utility bill or lease agreement)
- Custodial/Guardianship Agreements (if applicable)
In addition to completing paperwork, families can participate in several “Welcome” activities designed to introduce students to their new school. These include meeting the staff, exploring classrooms, and participating in fun introductory activities tailored for young learners.
Families can begin the registration process online by scanning the QR code provided on official school flyers or by visiting the NLCS website. For those who require assistance or have specific questions regarding their child’s enrollment, the district encourages calling the individual school offices directly.
