Purdue Extension: Elnora Fair news will not impact Daviess County 4-H programming

DAVIESS CO. — Purdue Extension Daviess County officials are moving to reassure local families following recent news regarding the Elnora County Fair, confirming that the 4-H season will proceed without disruption.

In a statement released to the community, Extension leaders clarified that the Daviess County 4-H Fair and the Elnora County Fair are separate entities. Consequently, any changes or news surrounding the Elnora event will have no effect on the local 4-H programming or the upcoming county fair schedule.

Officials emphasized that all 4-H activities will continue exactly as planned, ensuring that members who have worked year-round on their projects will receive the full fair experience.

“Officials say 4-H members will still receive the full county fair experience they have prepared for,” the announcement stated. This includes maintaining the community traditions that local families have come to expect and ensuring that Daviess County remains well-represented at the Indiana State Fair later this summer.

Purdue Extension Daviess County leadership is currently working behind the scenes to streamline operations and maintain the integrity of the 4-H program during this transition period for the region.

Families or community members with specific questions regarding fair schedules, project check-ins, or programming are encouraged to reach out directly to the Purdue Extension Daviess County office for the most up-to-date information.
