BLOOMINGTON – Bedford North Lawrence freshman Abby Tipton fell in the first round of the IHSAA regional during girls high school wrestling action at Bloomington South on Saturday.
Tipton (8-11) suffered a 19-3, technical-fall loss to Mooresville junior Annabelle Sipos (24-4) in the opener at 145 pounds. The match was ended at the 5:41 mark.
The top four, which required two wins, in each weight class advanced to the state finals in Indianapolis on Jan. 16.
