BEDFORD — Local residents looking to sharpen their musical talents this season have a new opportunity at the StoneGate Arts & Education Center. The center has announced a six-week “Winter Tune-Up/Review Piano Skills” program set to begin later this month.
The classes are designed to accommodate both young students and adults, offering a structured environment to review fundamentals and improve technical proficiency.

The sessions will be led by instructor Becky Muncy, a well-known local educator and musician. Classes are scheduled to begin on Monday, January 19, 2026, and will run for six consecutive weeks.
To serve a wide range of the community, the program is divided into two age-specific levels:
- Children (Grades 3-6): Sessions held from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Adults (Ages 16 and up): Sessions held from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The cost for the full six-week course is $80 per person.
Located at 931 15th Street in downtown Bedford, StoneGate continues to serve as a hub for both workforce development and personal enrichment. This piano program aligns with the center’s mission to foster the arts and provide lifelong learning opportunities within Lawrence County.
The facility, which also houses academic partners like Ivy Tech and Vincennes University, features state-of-the-art classrooms and a black box theater often used for community performances.
Organizers note that there is limited seating available for these sessions. Interested participants are encouraged to register early by contacting the center by emailing Linda@stonegateeducation.com or calling 812-675-2075.
