BEDFORD – Judge Nathan G. Nikirk of the Lawrence Circuit Court has officially filed the necessary paperwork with the Indiana Secretary of State to declare his candidacy for re-election.
Judge Nikirk was appointed to the Lawrence Circuit Court in 2019 by Governor Eric J. Holcomb. He filled a vacancy that arose when Judge Andrea K. McCord was appointed to the Federal Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of lndiana. Judge Nikirk was elected in the 2020 general election by the voters of Lawrence County to serve a full term.

I am grateful for the confidence placed in me by the citizens of Lawrence County and remain committed to applying the law fairly, impartially, and consistently. I am respectfully seeking the opportunity to continue serving the citizens of Lawrence County.”
Judge Nikirk resides in Bedford with his wife, Amy Nikirk, who is a Nurse Practitioner at IU Health Bedford, and their two sons.
