Lawrence County Community Foundation offers matching gift opportunity

LAWRENCE COUNTY — Local residents looking to make a meaningful charitable contribution before the end of the year have a unique opportunity to multiply their impact through the Lawrence County Community Foundation (LCCF). Through a special matching initiative, every dollar donated to an unrestricted LCCF endowment will receive a $2 match, effectively tripling the value of each gift while funds remain available.

Foundation leaders say the timing is ideal for year-end giving, as donors can support long-term community needs while also potentially reducing their tax liability. Contributions to the unrestricted endowment allow the foundation to respond flexibly to the most pressing needs in Lawrence County, ensuring resources are available not just today, but for generations to come.

The matching funds mean a $50 donation becomes $150 in community impact, a $100 gift turns into $300, and larger contributions grow even more significantly. The goal, organizers say, is to empower donors to create lasting change by strengthening the foundation’s ability to support local nonprofits, initiatives, and residents in need.

Those interested in learning more about the matching opportunity or how to give can contact Hope Flores, CFP, CEO of the Lawrence County Community Foundation, at 812-279-2215 or via email at lccf@cfpartner.org. Additional information is also available through the foundation’s outreach materials.

With the promise of matched dollars and long-term community benefit, LCCF officials encourage residents to consider making a gift now — turning generosity into a lasting investment in Lawrence County’s future.
