PAOLI — The Orange County Historical Society (OCHS) brought history to life this past Sunday afternoon by hosting its annual “Old-Fashioned Christmas at the Farmhouse.” The event, held at the historic 175-year-old Thomas Elwood Lindley House in Paoli, offered the community a glimpse of a Christmas past, with decorations that partially reflected the Civil War era.
Attendees were invited to tour the beautifully decorated farmhouse, a testament to the region’s rich history.
Adding to the authentic atmosphere, guests were treated to live period Christmas music performed by the talented local group, “Wildflowers & Weeds.” The festive tunes filled the air, accompanying the self-guided tours.

To combat the winter chill, museum volunteers served classic holiday refreshments in the farmhouse kitchen, offering warm cups of hot cider and a variety of cookies.
The OCHS expressed gratitude to the dedicated Society members who volunteered their time and efforts to make the event a success.
The annual event is a key fundraiser and community offering from the OCHS, helping to preserve and educate the public about Orange County’s heritage.
