Holiday hunt heats up as the Jingle Bell Rock remains missing, $1,900 Grand Prize Package waiting to be claimed

BEDFORD — A favorite holiday tradition is back in southern Indiana as the Jingle Bell Rock Contest returns, and the elusive rock is still missing.

The long-running event, hosted annually by Classic Hits 105.5 WQRK and 102.5 LiteFM, draws families, teams, and holiday treasure hunters from across the region. Each December, participants scour the radio stations’ listening area in hopes of finding the famed rock and claiming a prize package valued at nearly $2,000.

This year’s “sleigh full of prizes” includes Indianapolis Colts tickets for the Dec. 28 game, a 50-inch Hisense 4K television, Ray-Ban sunglasses, a year of free flowers, a car-detail service, gift cards, an Auto Value prize pack, a family ice-skating package, and more.

Clue sheets, released each weekday by 4 p.m., are posted at sponsor locations throughout the area.
