Last Call: T-Mobile accepting applications for $50,000 Hometown Grants

INDIANA —Small towns across the Indiana Uplands region have a final opportunity this quarter to secure significant funding through the T-Mobile Hometown Grants program. The wireless provider is continuing its commitment to support community development projects in smaller communities nationwide.

Towns in the Indiana Uplands with populations under 50,000 are eligible to apply for grants of up to $50,000 to fund “shovel-ready” projects that strengthen local connections and revitalize public spaces.

Fueling Local Projects

The Hometown Grants program aims to bring “big ideas to life” by providing funding for physical improvements that create a better sense of place and help neighbors gather. Eligible projects span a wide range of community needs, including:

  • Technology Upgrades: Enhancing public libraries with modern equipment and connectivity.
  • Outdoor Recreation: Improving local infrastructure, such as hiking trails and parks.
  • Historic Revitalization: Reinvigorating historic spaces into community hubs.
  • Community Spaces: Building, rebuilding, or refreshing town pavilions, parks, and other gathering areas.

T-Mobile emphasizes that the projects should be ready to execute and capable of being completed within 12 months of receiving the grant.

How to Apply

The current application window for the Winter quarter closes on Tuesday, December 31st.

Local government entities (elected officials, town managers) and 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(6) non-profit organizations are encouraged to apply. Applicants will need to provide a detailed project proposal, a budget, and a timeline, and demonstrate substantial community support through letters of support.
