Burris Elementary seeking Special Education 1:1 Aide

MITCHELL — Burris Elementary School is accepting applications for a Special Education 1:1 Aide, a role that supports students who need individualized assistance throughout the school day.

The position requires a high school diploma and the ability to pass a criminal history check. School officials say the ideal candidate will bring patience, flexibility and strong emotional regulation skills—qualities essential for working closely with students who benefit from additional guidance and support.

The aide will work directly with one student, helping with academic tasks, behavior support, daily routines and other needs identified by the special education team.
