Daviess Community Hospital to host “Handmade with Heart” fundraiser for United Way

WASHINGTON – Daviess Community Hospital is launching a new holiday fundraiser next month, the “Handmade with Heart Fundraiser,” to benefit the United Way of Daviess County.

The event is scheduled for Friday, December 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and will be held in the main lobby of the hospital.

The fundraiser will feature a selection of locally made items, including:

  • Handcrafted items
  • Baked goods
  • Décor
  • Locally made gifts

Both community vendors and hospital staff will create these items.

All proceeds from vendor table fees will be donated directly to United Way. These funds will help support programs focused on education, health, and financial stability across Daviess County.

The hospital is currently seeking vendors for the event.

  • Table Fee: Vendors can reserve a table for $50, with the entire fee being donated to the United Way.
  • Deadline: Applications are due by Friday, November 28, at 3 p.m., and space is limited.

Those interested in becoming a vendor can contact Heather Stone for an application by emailing hstone@dchosp.org or call 812-254-2760 ext. 1133

The public is encouraged to stop by the event, shop local, and support both local artisans and the United Way’s mission.
