MITCHELL — The City of Mitchell will host its third annual “Christmas in Downtown Mitchell” celebration on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, inviting families to Friendship Park for a full day of holiday events, local vendors, and community traditions.
The celebration will feature food trucks, a vendor market, a parade, photos with Santa, and a community tree lighting. Festivities are scheduled throughout the afternoon and evening, drawing residents downtown for one of Mitchell’s most popular winter events.
Hosted in the heart of Friendship Park, the event has quickly become a hometown holiday staple, welcoming families, small businesses, and visitors from across Lawrence County. Organizers say this year’s celebration will expand its vendor offerings and continue its focus on creating a family-friendly Christmas atmosphere.
