WASHINGTON — The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office is providing local families with a safe, secure location to celebrate Halloween this year, hosting a Trick-or-Treat Safe Stop on the evening of Friday, October 31st.

The event is designed to offer a protected environment for children to collect treats from law enforcement and staff.
The Trick or Treat Safe Stop will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Security Center located at 101 Northeast 4th Street in Washington.
The collection point will be located in the building’s sally port, a secure, controlled entryway, ensuring a well-lit, safe area for all participants.
Residents are encouraged to bring their costumed children to the Sheriff’s Office for a fun and secure stop before or during their regular trick-or-treating rounds.
