Women Empowering Women to host Fireside Chat with Indiana trailblazers Ellspermann and Stallings

JASPER – The Dubois County women’s leadership organization, Women Empowering Women (WEW), has announced a significant event for its November session: a special fireside chat with two of Indiana’s most distinguished leaders, Dr. Sue Ellspermann and Brenda Stallings.

The event, which is expected to draw a crowd of local professionals, is scheduled for Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the Fairfield Inn and Suites Jasper, at 333 River Centre Landing.

Attendees will hear firsthand from the women who have shattered glass ceilings across multiple sectors:

Dr. Sue Ellspermann

Dr. Sue Ellspermann has served as both Indiana’s Lieutenant Governor and President of Ivy Tech Community College, following a trailblazing career in engineering, academia, and entrepreneurship. Currently, Dr. Ellspermann, who resides in Ferdinand, continues to bridge sectors through extensive board service with organizations like German American Bank and OneAmerica Financial.

Brenda Stallings

Brenda Stallings, retired CEO of Matrix Integration, is recognized as a pioneering force in Indiana’s tech landscape. Over a remarkable 40-year career, she transformed a small company into one of the state’s top woman-owned technology firms, earning national accolades for innovation and workplace culture. Stallings is a strong advocate for women in STEM and a mentor to future leaders.

The conversation is anticipated to cover their journeys, lessons in resilience, and strategies for success and community building.

The luncheon and discussion will open for networking at 11:30 a.m., with the formal meeting running from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. EST.

Reservations are required for all attendees. The deadline to register is Monday, November 10. The cost of lunch is $10 per person and is payable at the door.
