Rooster Comb blooms and folk music at Saturday’s Farmers’ Market

BLOOMINGTON — This Saturday promises a splash of vibrant color and a rich tapestry of music at the Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market (BCFM).

The floral highlight this week is the striking Rooster Comb (Celosia genus), named for its velvety, curling blooms that resemble a rooster’s crest. These beautiful flowers, available in shades of red, pink, yellow, orange, and white, are a popular choice for both fresh and dried arrangements and thrive in full sun and well-drained soil.

Shoppers can find these bold flowers at Graber Produce (C-10), along with other exotic varieties available at all BCFM flower vendors, perfect for brightening up any home.
