JASPER — The Mid-States Corridor project team will hold a Public Information Meeting on Wednesday, October 22, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Jasper Middle School to update residents on the proposed route options.

The meeting follows the release of the Draft Screening of Alternatives Report by the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT), which recommends two specific expressway design options—Alternative 2B and Alternative 3B—be carried forward for further study. These two options were chosen from six alternatives initially presented in April.
The informational meeting will take place at Jasper Middle School, located at 3600 North Portersville Road in Jasper.
Attendees will have the opportunity to:
- Review project exhibits showing the proposed routes.
- Speak one-on-one with members of the project team.
- Watch a recorded presentation detailing the selection process.
The session is for informational purposes; oral comments will not be formally recorded at the event.
The Draft Screening of Alternatives Report outlines the detailed screening process and the reasoning for selecting Alternatives 2B and 3B. The full report, including maps and alignment descriptions, is available online at MidStatesCorridor.com.
The public comment period will remain open through Wednesday, November 5, 2025. Physical copies of the report can be reviewed at the Mid-States Corridor Project Office in Jasper, the INDOT Vincennes District Office, the Jasper Public Library, and the Huntingburg Public Library.
