Shoals kicks off new fall tradition with Inaugural Harvest Fest this Saturday

SHOALS—The Historic Shoals River District is launching a brand-new fall tradition this weekend, hosting its inaugural Harvest Fest this Saturday evening at the Star Mill Gathering Place along the White River.

The festival, organized by the local Main Street organization, will offer an evening of food, music, and seasonal activities for all ages, kicking off at 5 p.m.

Organizer Grant Sherfick announced that the event will feature more than 20 local vendors and artisans selling a variety of goods, alongside several popular food trucks.

The Harvest Fest schedule is packed with activities:

  • Family Fun: The event includes games for kids and a hayride.
  • Adult Refreshments: A dedicated beer and wine garden will be available for adults.
  • Live Music: Local musicians will take the Star Mill porch stage starting at 6 p.m.

Local organizations will also be on hand to raise money, with the 4-H Junior Leaders and the Shoals Drama Club selling food items as a fundraiser.

The entire community is invited to bring lawn chairs and relax by the river, enjoying the evening together.

Supporting the Historic District

To support the efforts of the Historic Shoals River District, the main organization behind the event, a silent dessert auction will also be held.

Organizers anticipate that the forecasted mild autumn weather will make for a perfect evening. Guests can find more details about the event on the Historic Shoals River District Facebook page.
