College Goal Sunday returns November 9 with free FAFSA help across Southern Indiana

SOUTHERN INDIANA – Students and families across the region will have the chance to get free, in-person help with college financial aid during College Goal Sunday, Indiana’s largest FAFSA filing event, on Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m. local time.

Experts from colleges and universities statewide will be on hand to walk attendees step-by-step through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)—a crucial form required for students to qualify for most federal, state, and institutional grants, scholarships, and loans.

In Southern Indiana, sessions will be held at several convenient locations, including:

  • Ivy Tech Community College – Bloomington (200 Daniels Way)
  • Vincennes University – Jasper Campus

Local students from Lawrence, Jackson, Orange, Monroe, and surrounding counties are encouraged to attend the site closest to them.

Students should bring their Social Security number, FSA ID, 2023 tax and income information, and any other documents related to their household finances. Parents of dependent students should also attend and bring their own information for faster, more accurate filing.

Organizers say the event helps thousands of Hoosier students each year open the door to state and federal financial aid opportunities. Volunteers include college financial aid professionals and community members trained to assist families through the process.

“Filing the FAFSA can feel overwhelming for many families,” organizers said. “This event helps make it easy, free, and accessible for everyone—especially first-generation college students.”
