SEYMOUR – Smart financial habits today can lead to financial freedom tomorrow—and Purdue Extension Jackson County is here to help you take that first step. On Tuesday, October 7, at 5:30 p.m., the Jackson County Public Library will host a free Credit and Budgeting Workshop, open to youth, young adults, and families eager to gain confidence in their money management skills.
The session will cover essential topics like what a credit score is, what it measures, and why it matters, as well as how to set up a budget that works. Attendees will also walk away with practical tips for success, including strategies for both short- and long-term planning, where to find resources during hard times, and how to protect and build strong credit.

The workshop is completely free to attend, making it an excellent opportunity to gain valuable skills without cost. No registration fee is required, and all are welcome.
